Question:
Is it possible to copy and paste portions of the plan into a Word or Excel document. I'm writing a plan for a class and must follow a specific format, but would like to use your product.
Answer:
There are several ways to work with Word and Excel with a plan created with our software. These are described within the manual the Working with Microsoft Office chapter.
The easiest way is to develop your plan with our software until you are finished. Then use the Export Plan command in the File menu to export text, tables, and charts to Word. The RTF export format will include your tables (formatted into text tables, without formulas, but all the data) and charts.
You can also, use the Export Spreadsheet command to export all of your tables to Excel. This exports an Excel workbook with separate worksheets for each table. Make sure you set your Excel options (in the Tools menu) to show row and column headers and sheet tabs, so you can navigate the spreadsheet. Also watch for hidden rows and columns.
Although you can import from Word or Excel back into your plan using copy and paste, it's better to stay in our software until you're sure you want to export and then once exported, finish your plan and print from within MS Office.
You can also copy text from our plan software into Word and data from our software into Excel. You have to be careful, so read the manual chapter on Working with Microsoft Office before you paste.
