Locating your serial number

Need help finding your serial number for Business Plan Pro or Marketing Plan Pro? Here are some ways you can track down your serial. If you have the software but no serial it will not function. You’ll need to buy a legitimate copy from these options:

How to find your serial number

These instructions apply to the currently supported versions of our products: Business Plan Pro 2009 (15th Anniversary Edition), 2008 (Version 11), 2007, and 2006, as well as Marketing Plan Pro versions 6.0 to 11.0 (powered by Duct Tape Marketing). Installed software

If you have already installed the software, your serial number is available in the product itself. Just start the software and open a plan (either a sample plan or your own plan). Then select About from the Help menu. The window that opens will show your serial number.

Retail purchases

If you purchased the software from a retail store or UK website such as Amazon.co.uk, you'll find the serial number on a sticker in the DVD case.

Purchases from Paloalto.co.uk (incl UK affiliates)

If you bought your software from our website, you can find the serial number in the email order confirmation you received, or on the order receipt page if you printed it out.

About serial numbers

Why do you need a product serial number? Each copy of our software products comes with a unique serial number that serves as your proof of ownership and licenses you as the exclusive user of the software. Your serial number is only valid for your own use on your own computer, although we do allow a second installation so that you can have an installation on a computer in your office and one at home without violating copyright, if you only use one at a time.
