Question:
When I try to double click or view a sample plan in the Sample Plan Browser, I get the following error: Run-time error '-2147417848 (80010108)': Automation Error object invoked has disconnected from its clients
How can I resolve this error?
Answer:
Encountering this Run-time error when viewing a sample plan from within the Sample Plan Browser indicates a problem with the Adobe Acrobat Plugin on the computer. The error is generated when the Sample Plan Browser tries to display the "preview" of the sample plan within the Adobe Acrobat Plugin in the right hand window of the browser. If the plugin does not respond, the Run-time Error '-2147417848 (80010108)' message is generated.
You can avoid this problem by selecting (single clicking) the desired sample plan and clicking the Open button at the top of the Sample Plan Browser. This will open the requested sample plan in your Palo Alto Software program avoiding the use of the Adobe Acrobat Plugin (avoiding the error).
To resolve this problem so that you can View a sample plan, you would need to reinstall the Adobe Acrobat/Reader software on your computer. This should reinstall the Adobe Acrobat Plugin on your computer which our software uses to display the preview of the sample plan files. You can download the free "reader" version of Adobe's software from http://www.adobe.com.
