Question:
Does your program perform some of the basic functions of a business plan; specifically, SWOT Analysis, Sensitivity Analysis, and Gant Charts? I want to be able to perform both what I can see but also some of what I cannot see.
Answer:
Business Plan Pro does the mechanics of a business plan, and it does them well -- fully-linked financials are in spreadsheet mode fully visible, so every time you change a number, you can instantly see the impact on all other numbers. Change a number of one month in your personnel plan, for example, and you immediately impact your profit and loss, cash flow, balance sheet, and ratios. You can turn to any of those tables and see the change instantly. There's your sensitivity analysis, by the way, with scenarios and the "save-as" command.
Business Plan Pro is not a cookie-cutter plan based on pre-written texts. Sure, you can copy from our examples in every topic, or from the sample plans, but you don't have to. You can insert and delete topics in the outline with the click of a button (and there's your SWOT, because that's basically text), and if you want to import a graphic, you can.
We don't have GANT charts built in. We do have a Milestones table that gives you most of the information you'd need to make one (dates, activities, budgets). And there is an easy export to Excel for that purpose.
