Question:
When I use the File/Export/Export Tables command, it seems to export just a single table. I started working with it and now the resulting spreadsheet is unusable since it's filled with ##REF! errors.


Answer:
No, it doesn't export just a single table, it exports a whole workbook, with complete set of worksheets and all the formulas and hundreds of range names. You won't see that if your Excel is not showing the sheet tabs and the row and column headers, which is an Excel setting. It sounds exactly like what would happen if you accidentally used Excel commands to delete one of the key worksheets, after exporting. It was there when it was exported, but once you're in Excel you don't have our interface to keep you from deleting important items. The good news of course is that it will still be in your original Business Plan Pro file, so you can export again and you'll be okay.

What you export is a complete workbook, with separate worksheets for the different tables. Make sure you set your Excel to show sheet tabs, or else you won't be able to see where you are. It sounds like you deleted the worksheet named "Logistics." That would create those ##REF errors. Just leave that one alone.

The export to Excel does work, and your main solution is actually just correcting your settings in Excel. All you need to do in Excel to see the whole workbook is go to your Tools menu in Excel, choose the Options command, and in the dialog that appears, choose the Views tab and click on the lower left box for showing sheet tabs.

There are no ##REF errors in a normal export, but of course since the underlying spreadsheet is Excel compatible you will get ##REF errors, unfortunately, when a formula that is looking for a number finds a text instead.
