Question:
After I click the Download File button, nothing happens, I get a page cannot be displayed error, or the file only partially downloads..
Answer:
- Important Note: If you are using Microsoft Windows Service Pack 2, you may need to hold down the CTRL key while clicking on the "Download Now" link to enable the download.
Other items to check for downloading problems:
- Take the following steps at Software Pickup to try using the download Link:
- Click Cancel to the pop up download box (if you receive it).
- Right click the hyper-link that says "Download File." and choose Save Target As.
- Direct the file to the Desktop of the computer and click the Save button.
This will download the file attempting to avoid any download manager software and may resolve the problems which you are encountering when downloading. - If you are connecting through a Wireless Network: Try connecting (plugging in) directly to your network, DSL or Cable modem to avoid problems which can be encountered when downloading large files via a wireless connection.
- Check settings in and/or reinstall your browser
- Call your ISP and make sure they're up and not experiencing any outages(do they have a time-out setting?)
- Or run C:\TRACERT www.planpoint.com at a DOS Prompt to check the routing. There may be a breakdown somewhere between here and there.
