Question:
I would like to include a sample storefront/facade (with signage), some interior images, and a floorplan for the prototype retail apparel store which is the subject of my business plan. I cannot find a software program to do this. Can you suggest some? I found several programs for HOMES.. (Home 3D Architect/Designer, Planix, etc) but none for commercial/business retail facilities/stores. I searched the Internet... found organizations, websites, professionals, publications... but no such programs. If you do not know of any, can you suggest a place/site I might check? Alternatively, do people use/adapt the aforementioned home design products successfully for business/retail establishments? Perhaps Palo-Alto could create this important business plan item as a new product.
Answer:
Funny coincidence the use of the phrase floor plan, because in retail that same term is used to describe vendor financing of retail inventory.
Anyhow, no, we haven't worked with any of them. We have worked with Visio business graphics, which seems easy enough to use and produces good output for making business charts (like an organization chart) that can be imported into topics.
Also, consider putting these graphics as appendices to your plan, printed separately. That way you'll have less fuss about graphic size and page size etc.
