| No icon for Business Plan Pro after installation. | |||
Question:
I have installed the software and everything appears to have completed, the installer gave me the message that the installation was successfull and to click finish. But now there's no icon to launch the program on my desktop. How do I launch the program?
Answer:
By default, our installer will not create a destkop icon for the program due to standards required by Microsoft for Windows XP certification. To verify that the software is properly installed on your computer, take the following steps:
- Check the list of installed programs:
- Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel
- Double click on Add/Remove Programs
- If Business Plan Pro 2007 is in the list of Installed Programs, the installation was successful
- If Buisness Plan Pro 2007 is not in the list either the software has been removed or an error was encountered during the installation. You will need to install the software again using the CD or the bppenux.exe file which was downloaded from our Web site.
If you have verified that Business Plan Pro 2007 is in the list of installed programs, you can launch the program by clicking on Windows Start button then choosing Programs > Palo Alto Software > Business Plan Pro 2007.
- Tip: You can alphabetize the list of programs by right clicking in the Start > Programs menu and choosing Sort by name.
If you would like to create a shortcut to the program on the Desktop of the computer, take these steps:
- Create a new Desktop icon for the program:
- Click on Start choose Programs and then Palo Alto Software.
- Locate the icon for Business Plan Pro 2007 and right click on it
- Choose Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)
